Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Dose (the Android app and the website dose.am), provided by [TITULAR] ([NIF/CIF], [DIRECCIÓN POSTAL]). By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

1. The service

Every day Dose generates a personalized audio clip (a dose) from the setup you choose (a recipe) and rings it on your phone at the time you set. The content is written by an artificial intelligence model from the sources you select and read by a synthetic voice.

2. AI-generated content

Doses are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions or outdated information: a forecast that changes, a badly summarized news story, an event that isn’t read correctly. They are an informational summary for your personal use, not professional advice (financial, medical, legal or otherwise). Check the original source before making an important decision.

3. The alarm

Dose does its best to ring on time, even when your phone is on silent or locked. But that depends on things we don’t control: your phone being on and charged, the internet connection needed to receive the dose, your manufacturer’s battery-saving settings and the permissions you grant. If the dose doesn’t arrive in time, the app tries to ring with the system alarm tone. For appointments you can’t afford to sleep through, set another alarm as well.

4. Your account

You must be at least 16 (13 in the United States) and give us a valid email. You’re responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. You can delete it whenever you want (see Delete your account).

5. Subscription and payments

• Some features require a paid subscription. The current price is shown in the app and on this website before you subscribe.
• Payment is handled by Google Play using the payment method on your Google account. We never see your card details.
• The subscription renews automatically every period until you cancel it.
• You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions). You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies, without prejudice to your statutory rights.
• If we change the price, we’ll tell you in advance and it will apply from your next renewal. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
• Each plan includes a number of doses per day and a monthly allowance of voice minutes. Unused minutes don’t roll over.

Right of withdrawal (EU)

If you’re a consumer in the European Union you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract. By starting to receive doses within that period you expressly ask for the service to begin right away; if you withdraw, the proportional part of the service already provided may be deducted.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• forward email or content to your recipe that you don’t have the right to use, or illegal content;
• use Dose to harass others, send spam or overload the service;
• try to access other people’s accounts or systems, or copy, reverse-engineer or resell the service;
• publicly redistribute doses as if they were a news outlet.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account.

7. Third-party content

News and other sources belong to their authors. Dose offers you a summary for your personal, private use; we’re not responsible for the accuracy of the original content or for third-party services you connect (such as Google Calendar), which are governed by their own terms.

8. Intellectual property

The app, the Dose brand, the design and the software belong to [TITULAR]. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them while you have an account. You may freely use the doses generated for you for your personal use.

9. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care but “as is”, without guaranteeing that it will always work without interruptions or errors. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect damages (for example, being late because a dose didn’t ring) and our total liability is limited to what you paid in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants consumers or any liability that cannot be excluded.

10. Ending the service

You can stop using Dose and delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that breach these terms and, if we ever stop providing the service, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and stop charging renewals.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change them we’ll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email before significant changes apply. If you keep using Dose afterwards, you accept them; if not, you can cancel and delete your account.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. If you live in the United States, you keep the rights granted to you by the laws of your state.
